In the last flavor post, I described the setup of the game. After a peaceful revolution, you all swept into Congress on platforms of open government, reducing corruption, and political honesty.
But if you all trusted politicians to do everything they said they would, you have another thing coming.
Endemic corruption isn't that easy to eradicate, especially when you have evil corporations hiring thousands of lobbyists and public relation firms, spending millions of man-hours planning and plotting how to get what they want.Things are not getting better, they are getting worse. The recession is worsening and unemployment is rising. The country is going further into debt. The budgets for various social safety nets are running dry... and civil unrest is growing.
The politicians in government are unable to make the bold, necessary, tough steps to put the country back on the right path. They are unable to fight the corporations and reign in their harmful tactics. They can't resist the lure of the banks and the stock market. They can't make the unpopular decisions to raise taxes or cut programs and as a result the country is spiraling into certain doom...
