So... Magalie is dead. That's great. I think the Spies have been caught.
Jenny, Chance, and Rondak. Someone else... Probably Getrude, Zedekiah, Kiara, or Dane.
If I were a Spy, I'd have been trying as hard as possible to bus the worthless Magalie to get credit for nabbing a Spy. OK, well, if I was a Spy, I'd be trying to bus everyone, but that's besides the point. It makes sense for others to want to bus Magalie as well. That's part of why I voted Chance this episode; I didn't want to be associated with Jenny and Chance, whether Magalie flipped Cit or Spy.
Plus, if Chance and Jenny are Spies, then I have voted for a Spy in every single round of this game. That would be cool.
I can't get too obsessed with the idea, though, because that would obviously be bad. I'm sorry that I couldn't be online last night for the Exile... It was the MLB All-Star game, and a Mofo can't miss that for anything!!
I'm glad a break is coming up... I've got a show down town Friday where I'm actually going to be getting paid pretty good money, and I don't want to suck if I can help it, which means lots of practicing FTW, because I have never even heard half the set list before...
So... Magalie down. Good. My next target will be Jenny. Claude will still be going hard after Chance, and I don't want to be a part of that, if I can help it. He's been after hm WAY too long, and even if Chance is a Spy, which I hope he is, I can't imagine wanting to help a tunnel visioner, I mean, I myself have never, ever, EVER voted the same person many episodes in a row. Certainly not in past Spies games. Certainly not last game. Definitely not, no.
...Anyway, I don't want to be associated with Claude's crusade. I learned my lesson about that.
But at the same time, I think Chance needs to go next, and I want to be a part of the hammer that nails him if he's to go this round, so.... We'll see. Chance acts and talks just like Spies7Yuri, and that is enough reason alone to want to exile him.
In the mean time, I'm hoping that I'll get some heat for having voted Magalie twice but not voting for her when she actually got Exiled. That would be nice, because IF I'm right about Jenny and Chance also being Spies, then I would obviously be a pretty good Imprisonment target right now. I can combat that by making myself an Exile target.
I think it's time to make myself an Exile target.
I shall start saying some odd things in my conversations this episode. I'll probably even contradict myself a few times and see if people put it together. That could be a BAD idea, but it might work. I've never been Exiled in a Spies game before, and I don't plan on that changing.
Also, Tina is going to be night killed. She has way too much power and trust. Bad move on her part.

Tina was night killed. Personally I was shocked; I almost had a heart attack but then I jerked back awake. She should've done more to not look like an amazingly easy Imprisonment target. If she was the Doctor, well, that sucks for her, too, and for us. I'm guessing that she could be, given the usage of the early save. Oh well.
I'm glad to see Chance talking about suspecting me in the public chats. If he can gain some support for that, it ought to keep me safe from the possibility of Imprisonment, which is always a good thing! And as I started typing this up, Cory IM'ed me, and he mildly suspects me, which is awesome. I'm giving good answers that can clear things up, but I'm trying to leave just enough to the imagination that he'll still suspect me a bit. Hopefully it works out that way.
Anyway, my Spy List hasn't changed much from last episode, other than Magalie being confirmed:
Alexei, Isaac, Magalie, Chance, Jenny, Rondak, Gertrude
I'm willing to admit that Rondak and Gertrude might not be right, and would see Zedekiah, Kiara and Cinnamyn as their most likely replacements, at this point.
Could I be wrong? Of course I could be. Am I wrong? I hope not.
The good news here, though, is that one of my best friends is going out of town for the week, tomorrow, and another best friend just got a new job. That means that I should be online a lot more this week! Which, in turn, means that I should be able to at least do another CountDown show, now that the number of players is a decent size again.
At any rate, it's hot and I'm sleepy.

Remember how I said earlier in the game that Jenny was starting to near her breaking point? I dunno if I said it to someone in game, or here, or in videos... Or maybe I just thought it to myself and didn't say it to anyone. Regardless, I think she's hit that point, finally!
She's starting to get pissed frequently, and uses petty, nonexistent things against me, trying desperately to discredit me in any way possible. Much like Chance has been doing lately... HMMMMM......
I think it's funny. I'm making sure to point it out when it happens for now on, because I think that over time, people will be able to draw the same conclusion as I have, which is that Jenny and Chance are Spies, and they're struggling to lash back at the people who suspect them by attempting to make them look bad, even through desperate means.
Desperation is good. It means they are growing weary. It means they're running out of options.
It means they're scared.

Jenny is such a question dodging bitch. Holy shit. You literally have to ask her something 5-6 times just to get an answer, and then you have to spend 15 minutes making her actually be specific with her answer rather than speak in absolute noncommittal generalities.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
It's seriously frustrating. If she's not a Spy, she's come up with the most annoying, stupid, pointless, and least helpful game play style of all time. She must go, no matter what. I AM WILLING TO BUTHAYNA HER ASS IF NECESSARY!!! I take back every pregame thought and word about not tunneling. This is war.
There shall be more on this situation in the near future.

David, I like you, but you do speak in generalities. You said it yourself: [04:02] spies8jenny: I'm not one to push votes really. I just state what I think on something and let others use the information how they like.

True, but I can take a good guess at what particular chat he's talking about here, and that was more of "I was answering his question, and he just didn't like the answer I gave and wanted me to give a different one."
I ended up refering to that chat to several people the episode he ended up getting exiled.

Not liking my answer, and not answering it are not the same things You really did beat around the bush or go off on something else entirely a LOT... I don't remember specifics, but as an example, I'd ask a question, such as "Who do you suspect?" and you'd answer by giving 5 short speeches on 5 players in which you don't take a stance once way or the other and sum it up by stating that you're "not sure"... I may have been wrong, ultimately, in my suspicions of you, but was fully justified in claiming that you rarely answered questions during this game. I associate Yuri with people I want to exile, sorry for that outrageously unfounded insult!! I think it's time to make myself an Exile target. Yeah... About that... KILL CHANCE AKA YURI!!! RAHHH!!! Immediately!! True, but I can take a good guess at what particular chat he's talking about here, and that was more of "I was answering his question, and he just didn't like the answer I gave and wanted me to give a different one." I ended up refering to that chat to several people the episode he ended up getting exiled. I can't comment directly here because I don't remember any specific convos, but any time I directly told you in the middle that you weren't answering my question, you really weren't. Looking for specific, direct answers is literally what I do for a living, so I'm a bit more particular about it than a lot of people, but I recognize the difference, and in the cases where I took issue with your answers, it was because they weren't answers to what I was actually asking.

It was the night where broderick and claude was in the chat also, if that helps at all. I'd have to dig a bit to find the exact transcript, I forget which episode it was posted in (probably this one though).
I think the chat had to do with why I had suspected kiara in an earlier round and not lawrence, and I was trying to tell you that Lawrence had been legitimately MIA for weeks, and before that I could not legally talk to him, so not being able to talk him was different then Kiara who I had seen around often, but simply wouldn't talk when I would send a couple im's her way several times. For whatever reason, you didn't seem to like that answer, and it just got ridiculous after that.

I don't remember any of that so sadly it doesn't help :/ But overall, you generally didn't answer questions. There was never any one chat that defined that opinion for me during the game, it was just about an every day occurrence. It's like the difference between Robert Gibbs and the average Presidential press secretary... Yeah, every press secretary is going to have some non-answers or bloviating every now and then, but Gibbs did it for like 90% of the questions he was asked for his first few months of his new job, so a big deal was made out of it. It's not a big deal now, but as far as things went during the game, it was a big deal because I needed direct answers to all the stuff I was asking you, and didn't have enough time to play to spend 20-30 minutes trying to get a clarification for one question/answer. It's all good now, and I apologize for the wrath-filled words I had during the game ; D

If I can find the chat again, I'll link you to it, so we're on the same page. But I remember at the time, it was stuff like what happened there that made me suspect you because it was a major personality change from what I had seen of you at the start, and I've seen "personality changes" be mafia tells enough times to have warning flags go up when I see it.
Of course, considering the nature of the game, it might have just been you going out of "Awohali" and into "Trey" that I was catching onto.

Yeah, I mean I'm not sure when that was, it could have been that I was starting to get online less and was more pressing, or I might have been working with my uncle with construction before school started and just tired and irritable, etc. Either way, that one chat wouldn't negate the 30 others.

The purpose of that chat was to discover why you could have a suspicion of Kiara solely on her "not being around" and not have a suspicion on Lawrence for also not being around. It took 11 minutes for you to say that she wasn't responding when you IM'd her and it took an additional 9 minutes after that for you to even start explaining that argument.
And here's an excerpt that shows what I was talking about during the game:
You took 89 words to say what you could have said in 3.
I understand the character aspect, but I was still determined to get you to be more concise, or die trying. And to kill you while dying, of course >; D mwahahahaha sorry about that, BTW -_-
And meh, AIM is evil! I went out after my last post, but I'm about to head to bed... We should schedule a Spies mini chat mafia game night some time soon IMO!

That wasn't really me playing off the character actually. Why only say "I think she's lurking", when I can say why I think that? The way I see it, the more information people have to work with, the better. If someone came up to me with "I think they're lurking", unless something is going on at the time, I'm going to want to ask them how they get that. So why wait for the question, when I can just say it? If I have no idea where I'm going to vote yet, I'll bring up why I'm torn, if I'm fairly sure about my vote, I'll bring up why I'm alright with voting them. Unfortunately I got stuck with being more unsure about spy reads for longer in this game then normal, which happens but is still a rather lousy situation to be in. I ended up ranting about it in my confessional somewhere for a bit, but I got stuck with a lot of my suspicions being "They aren't around" because that was starting to apply to literally half the remaining cast.

I ended up ranting about it in my confessional somewhere for a bit, but I got stuck with a lot of my suspicions being "They aren't around" because that was starting to apply to literally half the remaining cast. The problem is that a lot of times, there wasn't actually any additional (or any at all) information attached to the diatribes. You almost never took a stance on anyone until maybe the last episode or two that I was in the game. I think I may have put examples in previous confessionals of mine, but I'm too lazy to go back and read them to check. Usually those rants in your confessional were just copied and pasted to answer questions that people had on where you stand, and I saw that as suspect as well. I use AIM to get real time, direct answers, not pre-made confessionals. The fact that those confessionals usually ended with "I'm not sure" for almost everyone only compounded my frustration. And I definitely wasn't alone in feeling that way.

And fair enough, that's pretty much where I was getting stuck with this game in general. Had plenty of cit reads, but usually also have at least a few decent spy reads as well by this point in the game, and I wasn't getting as many this time really. And the ones I did ended up being on other cits, so that's not exactly the greatest help. Trust me, I was fairly frustrated with it too. As for the confessionals, I don't think I ever directly copied from it when talking with people, although I wouldn't be surprised if they sounded similar. Probably filled out more then one of them after I'd finished talking to someone about whatever, and felt like ranting. Ranting is always fun.
