something interesting happened in the chat tonight. hambone came in in the middle of a mafia game we were playing, and apparently thought we were 'already voted'. he then seemingly freaked out when jasmine jokingly called him a spy. interesting.

also, hambone's a homophobe. i creep him out.
...this promises to be quite interesting.

i think mary's one to watch out for. she started off emo, but i'm pretty sure that she's a lot smarter and more ruthless and experienced than she's letting on. look at the inaugural mafia game for an example. mary and gertie were partners, and mary bussed gertie all day until brod voted wrong. she then switched her vote lightning fast, ending the game.

hal, according to cory, apparently said something about no exile being a valid option if we thought there were no spies on our team. need to press him on that tonight.

jas seems kind of immature. she's got that whole 'please like me, watch as i amuse you' attitude going on. maybe she's a newbie to spies.

mary's asking a lot of questions and not volunteering much information of her own. she asked me who i talked with most last night - i said cin. she asked what i learned about her - i said that she was an optimistic personality. i then asked her the exact same thing. apparently mary talked the most last night with gabriel, but when i asked her what she learned about him, i got - 'not much.'

i'm going to approach mary about this idea - i'd like to trade votes with someone during the first exile. a small number of votes might prevent me from being exiled, which is a good thing - it also lets me use my power, which is a better thing.

well, that seems to have backfired a bit. jas seems devoted to me. maybe i'll try her.

i think mary could be spies6georgia/spies7andreas, aka christina. the way she plays (asks a lot of questions rapid-fire) and the way she addresses people (by name, out front, before her statements) are very similar.
i approached gertie about my plan to garner a vote. she wasn't wild about it, but she didn't shut me down completely like mary did. plus she mentioned people might suspect me for having a role that rests on getting votes, which leaves me an opening to claim to her later if i need to. i hope she's not a spy, she's too genuinely likeable.

claude is dead-set on cory being a spy, based on how abrasive he is. i don't think i buy it. claude is too... i don't know, it's like he's grasping at straws to point the finger at cory. there's an air of the genuinely-confused about it, though - like maybe claude genuinely thinks cory's a spy and is just having trouble getting his point across. i don't know.

okay, my first instinct is to hate on brod for poking me incessantly in his recent posts. it's annoying. gotta tone it down a bit though. i contented myself with a "bullshit". he's banging on about "word usage" and when pointless things were said about cory being pushy. apparently mary never actually used the word 'pushy'. big deal. that was clearly the reaction i was getting from her about cory. so what if she never actually used the word? he also keeps banging on about when i heard things. i think he thinks he's finding discrepancies in the group chats with regards to time. i dunno. it would suck to be exiled this early. i don't think it's going to happen, but i think i'm his top suspect right now and he might pull the votes to get me exiled. i don't think cin would be disinclined to vote me.
i need a list of democrats.
brod - probably going to vote me cin - could vote me jas - hopefully won't vote me gertie - ? mary - ? larry - ? hal - ? 'zac - ? claude - ? cory - ? marge - ? camilla - hopefully won't vote me mags - ? lil - ?

i noticed mary mentioned in the chat after i left about me asking her to trade votes. great. i hope no one else noticed or remembers it. that could really backfire on me later.

also, i'm cin's number 2 for a vote, after marge. this probably doesn't bode well considering the amount of influence cin seems to have on this game right now.

....did i just discover a bombshell?
spies8claude 3:18 pm Well, she said something to Cory(privately, which bugs me), and then he talked about it to someone else, but apparently didn't try to make a big deal out of it. spies8jasmine 3:18 pm oh. spies8chance 3:19 pm why does that bug you, claude? did it happen before or after teams? spies8claude 3:20 pm after alignment spies8claude 3:20 pm before repub/demo spies8chance 3:20 pm okay, when did sam tell us we could vote no exile? was that before or after teams? spies8claude 3:20 pm Also before. spies8isaac has been invited. 3:21 pm spies8isaac has entered the room. 3:21 pm spies8chance 3:21 pm wrong. spies8cinnamyn 3:21 pm jasmine, do u think claude inteltionally cauzed drama.? spies8chance 3:21 pm it's right there in sam's post about teams. spies8claude 3:22 pm Oh. Before? spies8jasmine 3:22 pm one second, drama in my household spies8claude 3:22 pm Thought someone said this all happened after. spies8chance 3:22 pm sam didn't tell us we could vote no exile until after teams were decided. spies8claude 3:22 pm That does make sense, though. Hmmm. spies8jasmine 3:22 pm Do I think he intentionally caused drama? Yea. I think somewhat spies8cinnamyn 3:22 pm in wut way.? all he did wuz say he wuz suspishis of cory spies8chance 3:22 pm so hal would have had to have made his comment about the no exile votes after teams were decided. which means tina mentioned it to cory after teams were decided. which means there was either some rule-breaking going on... or tina and cory are spies together? spies8jasmine 3:23 pm I think he knew the reaction was gunna be all retard. and then he also brought up thinking mary was spy after the cory thing was dying out--maybe it was to keep a discussion going, but i thought it was jsut for drama. spies8cory 4:22 pm (4:22:41 PM): Jasman! (4:22:46 PM): Sorry... Jasmine. (4:22:47 PM): Lol. spies8jasmine 4:24 pm (4:24:20 PM): OH FUCK YOU spies8claude 3:24 pm I think Tina and Cory are both spies, yes. spies8chance 3:24 pm but you just said it happened before. not after. and since when do you think tina's a spy? this is the first i've heard of that.
tina and cory both definitely look shady here. claude also looks kind of shady, i think, for attempting to defend cory and tina but then saying he thinks tina is a spy along with cory.

well, that failed hard. no one but me seems to find it at all suspicious. apparently hal is the first one to have mentioned a 'no exile' vote and tina and cory's conversation stemmed from that.
in addition, jas is pissed off at me but i don't care because so far she's been useless. also, more people seem to suspect me now. i should just learn to keep my mouth shut, but oh, wait - that's suspicious too.

to be honest i feel like an idiot now. really thought i had something there, and it turns out it's all just a load of crap.
at least it's looking like if i don't die i'll get to use my power.

it still seems like claude suspects tina for not bringing up her suspicion of hal based on his no-exile comment publically... but he didn't bring his suspicion of her up publically, either, until i thought there was something between her and cory. kind of a double standard.

alright, i don't see why claude is pushing so hard that cam's statements are contradictory when they're clearly not. hal says they're not. brod says they're not. gertie says they're not. mary says they're probably not. i say they're not. yet he keeps pushing. why?

i'm kind of torn on claude. this is meta, but he reminds me a bit of callahan. stubborn innocent that doesn't want to admit he might be wrong. ugh. there are several points against him (i should know, i found them!) but he could definitely be a pushy innocent... i don't know. however i don't have another vote candidate at this time. mags is only my second choice because she's potentially inactive and unhelpful.

brod - seems to be helpful. thinks i'm a fence-sitter. likes things to be cut-and-dried-clarified.
cin - thinks claude's a cit and won't vote him. will vote marge or me. probably me given that marge is starting to step it up. could be that one vote i need - i dunno if i can risk her continuing to think i'm a spy, though. i need to look at her - i'm afraid everyone's giving her a pass because of her personality.
jas - still in-characterly unhelpful.
gertie - probably my biggest town read. mainly because of her personality. bad chance. stop it.
mary - tries to figure things out. asks lots of questions. pretty good read on her right now.
larry - has said a few worthwhile things. i can't help but think he jumped on the claude suspicion awfully fast, though.
hal - finally met him, at least. seems confused. don't really know what he thinks. very inclusive.
'zac - an emotional personality, i've noted. has voted claude based on his defense that 'you can lynch me tomorrow if cam's not a spy'. don't know if it's a cit or spy tell, though.
claude - my main suspect, but could be a stubborn innocent. i remember larry said something interesting... i need to find it. it was very flipfloppy and i mentioned it to gertie.
cory - brash and take no prisoners. i think i like him, he hasn't been abrasive to me yet, at least. feeling okay about him.
marge - kind of lurkish, but stepping it up. withholding judgement.
cam - not voting her. i think claude is twisting what she's said way too hard to merit a vote. if claude isn't a spy i'll rethink, but for now, cit read.
mags - who?
lil - not back yet.

larry's comment regarding claude -
[19:56] spies8lawrence: Sorry, just trying to keep up...and I type slow, so its hard to interject timly. I think yhis is making me stronger on Claude...but his points have some merit as well, so need to be kept in consideration for if he should flip cit.
looks like a spy preparing to look good for a cit flip.

so claude has dug his own grave as far as i concerned. he waited until i left the chat and then came back and started bashing me, basically. my only concern is that hal and cory seemed to feel the same way. i don't think there's any clearing anything up where hal is concerned and brod is as nitpicky as ever, but i think i'm cool with cory. i considered revealing my role to him tonight but i don't think there's any reason to as i don't /think/ i'm being exiled.
in other news, jas is apparently voting me because she thinks everything revolving around hal's no-exile comment is crap and i look suspicious for bringing it up. um, what? she's getting on my nerves. she's done nothing as far as i can tell but be in-character, yet she comes up with this out of the blue. well, at least she'll be the vote i need for my power to activate.
i gotta figure out who to use it on now, though. i'm thinking cory right now, but i don't know that he'll be in danger of exile.

Thoughts as I reread your confessionals for this episode: how did your plan to trade votes go? how was it received? a three way tie would have been really interesting haha. i wonder if anyone would have changed their vote in the revote. i too was surprised you got votes, I can't recall if you ever have before... I really like your character and how you are playing. And thanks so much for these detailed and frequent confessionals ~ I love coming here to read them! they are amazing!

they're definitely better than my past ones, but thanks sam. <3 and i've never, ever, ever been that close to being exiled in spies. e v e r. and i definitely would have to save myself, but that would have put me more under fire. nothing really came of my plan to trade votes except that i think it's part of what made mary suspicious of me. gertie never got back to me one way or the other on it. edit - thought of more i wanted to say. i'm glad you're enjoying my confessionals, sam. it's our job to entertain you, right? that's why you host the games in the first place! i just hope i'm doing my part to make this last game very memorable for you, sam. (and i'm still holding out hope for an encore spies 9, just so you know. )
