I vote for claude. Many reasons I've already stated and the rest are all summed up here.
spies8isaac 6:30 pm
It doesn't. I'm just saying out of the 4 people I'd vote I can't really see myself not voting for you at the moment, but still looking everything over. I'm just saying odds are good my vote will be pretty useless is all...lol
spies8claude 6:31 pm
Hmmm.
Okay.
spies8isaac 6:32 pm
I really don't like the fact that you roleclaimed first thing today claude and that with everything from day one is still not sitting with me well
spies8gertrude 6:32 pm
I'm back.
Spies8Awohali 6:32 pm
Welcome back, Gertrude.
spies8isaac 6:32 pm
I know I've said it and I'll say it again, you just have a reckless play style
Spies8Awohali 6:32 pm
I amk with you on that, Isaac. The roleclaim issue, that is.
spies8isaac 6:33 pm
And that role claim makes me think one very smart spy or a slightly uncareful citizen and either way I can't tell
spies8gertrude 6:33 pm
This is how I see Claude's roleclaim.
spies8gertrude 6:33 pm
It buys him at least a few rounds of life, but him making it to the endgame seems improbable .
That's just my opinion, though, and since I'm no expert, I could definitely be wrong.
spies8isaac 6:34 pm
Thats just it though Gertie, thats why it's odd it happened so fast. I think most people realize the fact you just stated, so to what end and purpose does it serve?
spies8broderick 6:35 pm
I think I'm going to vote for Jasmine
spies8isaac 6:36 pm
Thats my feeling on it anyway claude and again, nothing personal. I think you argue well and have made several valid points throughout the game, I just find your behavior thus far reckless.
An y certain reasons Brod?
spies8claude 6:36 pm
I am undeniably a reckless player.
spies8isaac 6:36 pm
lol
Proudly so which is good. It just makes it hard for me to see what team your batting for is all
spies8gertrude 6:37 pm
I have a question open to anyone about Claude's role.
Spies8Awohali 6:37 pm
Even though you claimed it to be a calculated, logical decision, Claude?
spies8claude 6:37 pm
I know you brought that up earlier.
and I've been struggling with how to answer it.
It's like
spies8claude 6:38 pm
I saw that chance couldn't be exiled today, and A)got really frustrated and B)felt like that probably meant I would get lynched.
spies8isaac 6:38 pm
Shhot Gertie, we'll answer it
spies8gertrude 6:38 pm
I've been thinking about it, and feasibly speaking, it doesn't seem to be that beneficial to either group - Citizen or Spy. Can someone tell me why that assumption is wrong (if, in fact, you guys disagree with my thought)
spies8claude 6:38 pm
So I thought about it, and figured that, especially considering my 'Exile me if I'm wrong' bit yesterday, I was probably going to die, and shoudl tell everyone my role.
spies8isaac 6:39 pm
A lot of roles are timing in a game. Although some roles purpose may suck or have little benefit early on. Later those roles can play a huge part with fewer players
Spies8Awohali 6:39 pm
I think the assumption is right and not-right at the same time, but not wrong at all. To explain... It seems to serve the specific player more than anything else, so, regardless of faction, it helps that particular player.
spies8claude 6:39 pm
I was in an emotional state, but I was still trying to make a logically sound decision.
If that helps.
Spies8Awohali 6:39 pm
But you do not feel emotion in this game, do you?
spies8claude 6:39 pm
Of course I do.
I try not to.
Spies8Awohali 6:40 pm
I thought that only SPies have emotional reactions.
spies8gertrude 6:40 pm
Right, Awohali, I agree. The only person it directly benefits in this game is the player himself.
spies8claude 6:40 pm
That's not what I said at all.
Spies8Awohali 6:40 pm
I will have to bring up the quote, but you certainly said something similar.
spies8claude 6:40 pm
Obviously townies have emotional reactions sometimes
Look at Camilla yesterday.
I said that a townie should do everything that they can to not be emotional.
While spies will try to make people be emotional, because emotionally based decisions are morel ikely to be bad.
spies8broderick 6:42 pm
Back in a bit. Dinner. It is hard to concentrate when I'm hungry.
Spies8Awohali 6:42 pm
I apologize for the delay in response, I am searching for the appropriate chat.
spies8claude 6:43 pm
IT was Saturday night, IIRC.
Spies8Awohali 6:44 pm
Ah, that helped, thank you.
spies8claude (12:52:41 AM):No.spies8claude (12:52:47 AM):Townies should never be emotional.spies8claude (12:52:51 AM):It accomplishes nothing.
spies8claude 6:44 pm
Please note that I said 'should'
Not 'arent'
spies8lawrence 6:44 pm
To answer Gerties question; I think it would be overpowered as a spy role; the spies would know who is leaning towards voting for them, and could use that ingormation to better control exile. Its better as a cit, because at least they have to try to figure out the best person to use it on rather than just picking the other team.
Spies8Awohali 6:45 pm
Semantics, again. At any rate, it seems to go against your philosophy and bleiefs.
spies8claude 6:45 pm
No, it doesn't
Saying that townies SHOULD not be a certain way is absolutely not saying that they ARE not a certain way.
spies8lawrence 6:45 pm
Though that brings up an interesting side question--do you have any limit in WHO you can use the role on, Claude?
Spies8Awohali 6:45 pm
Yes, I believe we argued that exact point with you that night.
spies8claude 6:45 pm
No.
Spies8Awohali 6:46 pm
spies8broderick (12:53:22 AM):Should never and are never - not the sameSpies8Awohali (12:53:26 AM):"Should" does not always coincide with what is.
spies8claude 6:46 pm
Oh, I misunderstood.
Spies8Awohali 6:46 pm
But why would you make an emotional decision if you believe that Townies should never make an emotional decision? And why did you thend efend it as "calculated and logical"?
spies8claude 6:46 pm
Or nm I'm getting confused.
spies8claude 6:47 pm
I'm not perfect.
I don't want to be emotional.
But people make mistakes.
Spies8Awohali 6:47 pm
I believe that when we argued this point to you, you responded by saying;
spies8claude (12:57:12 AM):Honestly, how do you guys ever find scumspies8claude (12:57:16 AM):Pick a name from a hat?
spies8claude 6:47 pm
Okay?
Spies8Awohali 6:48 pm
I find this all to be quite contradicting.
spies8claude 6:48 pm
I don't see how.
Yes, I said that townies should never be emotional.
And yes, I had an emotional moment.
Spies8Awohali 6:48 pm
Then you must open your eyes.
Spies8Awohali 6:49 pm
Then why did you defend it as nothing more than calculated and logical?
spies8claude 6:49 pm
Because I thought about what to do.
And ultimately decided that revealing my info was correct.
Though I was admittedly in an emotional state at the time.
spies8lawrence 6:50 pm
logic doesn't preclude emotion.
Spies8Awohali 6:50 pm
It doesn't, but I find this scenario suspect.
spies8isaac 6:30 pm
It doesn't. I'm just saying out of the 4 people I'd vote I can't really see myself not voting for you at the moment, but still looking everything over. I'm just saying odds are good my vote will be pretty useless is all...lol
