Honestly my most preferred way would be through mail. But I'm aware that's also the most complicated. I don't trust paypal, I was jipped by them once.

For the Amazon gift certificates: www.amazon.com/gp/gc/order-email?ie=UTF8&ref_=gc_lp_preview_large . It just sends you and e-mail with a "gift certificate" which is credit used towards an Amazon purchase.
