Cinnamyn: Is your alter-ego really a skinny white guy? Did you have to take lessons on how to type as a full-figured black chick?
Jenny: Why have you stopped inviting everyone to the spies8 chat? Or is it only me?
Chance: It sure looks like you have intentionally made yourself look scummy. What did you hope to gain from that?

Everyone - Give one word that describes your gameplay thus far. Explain. Character. I've tried to play as I wanted Jasmine's personality and character to be. She's been through a shitload, and it shows with her anger at times against people for no reason. She holds grudges on small things, because everything hurts her. My game play has been based on her, and I think it's also helped me stay out of imprisonments--she will always look suspcious.
5. Jasmine, Cinnamyn - What has been the most shocking moment for you thus far? I think the Lilith exile. The girl was off the hook, and I was starting to really like and trust her. She saved me during the Themba exile round, of possibly being nominated instead of her..and I just overall loved the new Lilith that came to the republicans with me. I felt like she was someone I could talk to, openly. =) She was the shit, so when she was revealed as imprisoned so early on in her game..it shocked me, I did think it was going to happen..but not that soon.
dane, jasmine, hambone - r u happy wit' how u have played dis game so far.? Yes, it's gotten me this far. And I think we should all be proud that we lasted as long as we did. It takes a bit to not be imprisoned or exiled, we obviously did something right. I think I have a good grasp on the game too, there is nothing I feel ashamed about.--Vacations and such, and then coming back..I think I did a good job at getting caught up and staying around as much as possible during a busy summer. =) I'm proud of Jazzy.
Jasmine, Hambone: Are you worried about getting your vote back? How would your game play change if you never got to vote again? Of course, yes. I'm worried that I may be voteless for the rest of the game. I think our votes are the main thing we have in this game. I don't think my game play will change though. I will still be the same as I have been, and try to stay as active as humanly possible for Jasmine..like I have been. Nothing would change, but having a vote is obviously the best thing. On the topic of a vote. Knowing that Jenny is most likely leaving. The girl should throw the challenge so myself and Hambone can get our votes back, if you truly are a citizen. =) Just saying.

(Note: I just want to know where you stand in the game which is why I'm asking you these demanding questions.) Babe, I'll start by saying thanks for the disclaimer to not hurt my feelings or for me to feel attacked. But Hambone, I can handle myself. Jasmine - We were all just given really good opportunities to ask each other questions and I feel like you kinda just wasted yours. Over the last couple of days a few people, me included, have said that you are the most "neutral-looking" person in the game, meaning that no one knows where you stand in the game, scum or townie. Why do you think this is? I threw a mix of six questions in, some wanting serious answers..some, not so much. We aren't limited to only six questions. Six questions is the min., and if I have more..I'll surely ask people here or on AIM. I'm not sure why I'm shown as being a neutral person. I think I've shown I was behind Isaac leaving, which gave me cit points. But my personality screams "suspcious".
When is the last time you made a case on someone? I was trying to get discussion on Claude when I first got back from vacation. I made a thread that is near the bottom of page one now, on him. I did something similar to Isaac a few rounds before he was exiled. I came back from vacation and thought Claude was odd, and I think it might be because he is now depressed, but at the time..it was all new for me. So, I was very much thinking he was a spy. That was the last major time. However, before vacation I was strongly thinking Jenny was a spy--leading to me voting her during my vacation. I was strongly behind Themba leaving, which ended up being wrong. Right now, a case on Stephanie that I have said in a few chats. Is that I'm suspcious of her relationship with Zedekiah, and her voting for Dane with Alexei..and not with Alexei. I think the girl is more than just "crazy". I think she is a possible spy.
There are 4 Spies left, if you had to make a guess on who they were right now, who would you pick. Jenny, Stephanie, Kiara, and Dane. Possible alternatives: Mary..and I was thinking Owen, but not entirely confident on that at all.

Kiara, Mary, Owen: Is there anybody in the game, past or present, who you talked with on AIM and just got a "citizen" vibe from them? What made you think they were a Citizen? If they have been eliminated, were they actually a Citizen? Have you noticed anyone who appears to be a Citizen in AIM, but not on their board posts, or vice versa? Which weighs more to you?
From the beginning, Claude has struck me as a Citizen. If I only read his posts I might think differently, because I recall a few stinkers from him on Magalie and someone else. But his thought process and demeanor in chats have for the most part been very Citizen. I will be surprised if he's been playing us all along, including this recent mopey act, because if so it's been brilliant from start to finish.
Mary, has your cold sore gone away?
I never had a cold sore. I got a bruise from my struggle with Dr. Crowhurst. I went to see him the other day, and he still has his shiner from the lobotomy but my bruise is gone. I gave him a black-eyed Susan and he said "What are you doing here?" It was touching.
Mary - At this point of the game, do you think it's more important to avoid imprisonment or to go all out?
I'm playing with the same style I have used all game, which is all out. What I've learned from my previous mafia experiences is that if you survive past the first few days, there will probably be some idiot Citizens who blab their roles and get picked off before you. I tried to make that point to Nita and Tina earlier in the game, but they went all-out in a riskier way, and they paid for it dearly.
4. Claude, Mary - And vice versa, is any player a pleasant surprise as compared to how they played in the early game?
Broderick, Kiara, Lawrence and Hambone are a lot more enjoyable to work with than they were earlier. Broderick is making better cases, Kiara is participating more enthusiastically, Lawrence's replacement is putting in more effort than a lot of us, and Hambone looked like a moron and an antagonist in the Republican group chats, but he's more constructive and pleasant now.
mary - y do u never post suspishinz or ur vote in da burg.?
Because the game is about me reading people's reactions. I don't want to give a Spy time to think about my post and my case and conjure up lies tailored to the situation. I want them thinking on their toes--in those situations they're more likely to make mistakes. So I make my cases in person.
As for my votes, I don't post them because I enjoy seeing who is vote tracking and when and why. I always tell people my suspects ahead of time and tell them which way I'm leaning and how strongly. But I feel I get more information this way.

Dane - I've got a lot of questions for you.
1. I never knew you suspected Jenny. When and why did this happen? She has been sticking up for you for several weeks now and claims you are a Citizen more so than most other people, and the other night on AIM the both of you doubleteamed me with question after question, which further added to the prevailing bond you two have... and yet you have stated you are voting for her... BUT, you were too lazy to even go on the board and state a reason as to why you are voting for her, so Brody had to post if for you. I asked Brody what you reason for voting out your buddy Jenny was, and this is what he said that you said.
spies8broderick: (3:17:53 AM)I asked him why he was voting jenny, and he said, and I quote
spies8dane (21:46:22): Are you fucktacularly fucktarded or something?
2. It seems when you don't know the answer to something you just lash out at people. Are you hiding behind your character? Do you agree that your character is the easiest one in the game to hide behind and skate to the end of the game as?
3. I am 99.9% certain that one of the Zedekiah voters/nominators is a Spy. I believed strongly he was a Citizen, and I urged everyone not to vote him out, but they did, and alas, I was right.
The Z voters: Cory (DEAD), Gertrude (DEAD), and Owen.
(If Owen is alive in 2 more weeks I AM voting him out.)
The Z nominators: Zedekiah (DEAD penalty), Chance, and Dane.
Since Owen has voted out 3 Spies now and would be DUMB to target since he's helping significantly, and Chance has this Devil role thing (which I will get to later), then that just leaves you, Dane. The other night on AIM when you yelled at me, I didn't really know what to think of it... it's just what you do. But I've had enough of saying that. Because I am sick of what you do. Why do you yell at people? Why did you nominate Zedekiah, when in Week One you turned off Zedekiah and went after Alexei?
3. Explain to me your connection with Jenny.
That's enough for now, but I'm not through with you.
First off hambone, if you want to make a case on me, make a case on me. This thread is to ask 6 single questions. Counting yours, and including your multiple ones to me, you already went over your limit. But I'll humor you.
1. Awohali investigated jenny and found her to be a spy. Then he was exiled and flipped cit. Then the only possible countertheory, that kiara role checked him, has a likely alternative (that he became a normal cit like all other one-use-only roles that used their roles). That's pretty straightforward, and (dare I say it) OBVIOUS.
2. When people ask me extremely stupid questions or questions that are fucktacularly obvious, it annoys me. And I'll say so. Main complaints for stupid questions/obvious questions: you and broderik. I don't hide behind my character. Ask me a real question that you don't already know the answer to and I'll give you a real answer.
3. As to zedekiah, I nominated him because he was a suspect who was being forgotten and my other suspects were already up there. And gee hambone, I don't know, maybe the whole zedekiah not posting anything significant since the start of episode 2 made him more suspicious after 6 episodes or so.
and since you didn't even label it even though it was a fourth question: my connection to jenny is that she is one of the only people left alive who is enjoyable to talk to. I defended her when she was attacked with faulty evidence, just as I did chance. Think of me as the Public Defender.

Sam, are you disappointed in participation thus far? It seems like some players(Chance, Claude, Broderick, Jenny) have openly said they are frustrated with it. But are you? Nope, not at all haha. You know, I don't spend time on AIM searching out specific people to talk to, but in my opinion every person in the game now, and almost every person in the game already eliminated, has been an interested player. I have had people and other games have many people who just totally disappear. Has that happened this game? I've had people who didn't vote, and yet almost everyone this game has voted each time or just made a simple mistake and forgotten. That's absolutely incredible. I've also been fortunate enough to have an extra queue of awesome, reliable players to replace in, which has been a great help. Usually I would just remove those people from the game, but I do like the replacement option. Also, usually one or two people eliminate themselves from the game via votes, but that hasn't happened at all this game either. (or at least, not someone who wasn't already heavily suspected anyway) That's partly because my penalty system this game adds penalty votes into nominations, which may not directly lead to someone being Exiled. That makes the make up of the game a little bit different... I think one or two people might have Exiled themselves by now if it wasn't for that. Whether that's positive or negative is up for discussion... certainly players aren't happy when their Exile is taken over by someone who self-votes them out of the game. But then again they aren't happy with players who are perceived to be not as interested either. Almost everybody tells me their thoughts, votes, gets on AIM, it's hard to complain. Especially because this game in particular, we've lost an incredible amount of awesome, active players in the first half of it, far more than usual. But that happens. In Spies 7 the final group was almost all of the most active of top two-thirds. It can go either way. While there may be less day-to-day roleplaying, I find the characters in this season are more unique, well-crafted, and entertaining as ever. You don't have to talk in a certain way to be interesting. We are all here to play mafia after all, the character bit is just some extra fun. I suggest that you create your own fun activities if you desire them, you don't need me to do things like Plant Week or Zombie Week.

It has gone far better than I hoped. =) I was worried that introducing money into a game, something I had never done, would result in internet drama about cash. That's the last thing I want. Thank god that hasn't happened yet! I also had some other worries about the bribes that didn't come into fruition.
The jury is still out on the Societal Collapse twist, it has its ups and its downs. I'm interested in your thoughts on it.
To answer your second question, Dick Tracy would have come up.
To answer your first question, here are some other examples from past games:
ome examples from past roles:
A one-time use doctor. If the doctor saves someone, they are still the doctor and still show up as the doctor, even though they can't save anyone anymore.
The other forty eight roles I've ever done is also an example.
The only counterexample I can think of was the Taskmaster role, which switched player's role. If that was used on somebody, and that somebody lost their role, it wouldn't show up.
The only second counterexample was when Tyson was given a citizen role and then won the random lottery to become a Spy. He was told before accepting that he would lose his citizen role.

There's a lot of things I like. I like the live events where I have no idea what is going to happen like the $33.88 bribe event. The Live Exile is really fun too. I like seeing months of hard work come together on day one with everybody playing and having fun. I like developing and designing the twists behind each game. I like meeting all sorts of awesome new people, even if its only through the internet. (though if your name rhymes with Lane you are welcome to drop by in Indiana! ) I like the intricacy of not only role events, but how the information flows throughout the game and who knows what. I really like reading or watching your confessionals and all the amazing things you guys create. I really will miss it when its gone, but I've been doing it for so long it's hard to imagine what that will be like haha.

Everyone - Give one word that describes your gameplay thus far. Explain. Casual. It's amazing how much easier learning things is when you're just nice to people, and keep in contact with everyone. Stephanie, Jenny, Chance - Which player are you most likely to chat with after the game? In other words, have you made any friends while playing? I'll probably be glad to talk to about half the people in this game after it's done. Whatever happens in here, it's just a game. jenny - besidez jus' lukkin' 4 citz, can u describe ur playstyle.? I kind of thought it was fairly self explanatory, but apparently not. Even if you're not sure on who the spies are, if you can figure out who it can't be, you make life much easier on yourself. It's not so hard to win if there are 15 players in a game, and you're sure about 9 of them being citizens. Just process of elimination. In the meantime, if I find something that I can't work out how it would make sense for a citizen to have a reason to do, that's usually a good warning bell. Even better if you can get a group together out of those people you feel sure are cits, like what Lucky and Gerty were trying to do, to finish the job with who's left. Because let me tell you, you get a group of 8 or 10 citizens all working together? That's a pretty nice sledgehammer. Was hoping to set up a group myself actually with Al's role, but that never panned out. A shame I never got to be a part of the one Lucky and Gerty set up, that would have been rather nice to be a part of. Kinda been my luck really this game, haven't been able to get things moving myself as much as I'd prefer. Jenny - If you were about to get eliminated due to the suspicion of you being a Spy, what would your final words be? -__- Also, can you explain to me why Dane is a citizen in your eyes? I see a clear connection between you two and I've been looking at it a lot recently, ever since you two doubleteamed me on AIM the other night. The first it sounds like you'll hear in a few hours, so you can wait til then. As for Dane, what's been the case on him? People don't like him? Yeah, great, that's a wonderful spy tell. Him being bad with remembering who's on what team? Yeah that was nice at the time, but you're going to have to give me more then that. And as for him never being around? Try harder. I've seen him on plenty. Jenny: Why have you stopped inviting everyone to the spies8 chat? Or is it only me? I've been inviting you, did you change your client? Might just not be going through right for some reason. My turn for questions, you'll have to give me a few minutes. to type some up.

Owen, Jas, Claude, Dane, Hammy - When I do come up cit, what will that change on your thoughts with everyone?
Dane - Could you list somewhere exactly when you are at work during the week, so that people know when to catch you? It's apparently a monumental task catching you online for some people.

From Sam: Do you think the Societal Collapse twist, with the House of Representatives and the Senate, has made it easier or harder to catch Spies? Do you think either group feel less "responsible" for who is Exiled? Which did you more enjoy being a part of?
Given that I wasn't here before the twist, I would have no grounds of comparison. However, I think it would be easier to find spies if the votes seemed coordinated between members of both sections. Although said coordination between spies could be lost within players who have formed secret alliances or players who think alike. I think the most "responsible" group for eliminations should be that with the least amount of voters, basically, the more diluted your vote is, the least responsibility you have. The only thing I have to say about preferences is that being member of the Senate that soon with relatively few voters was really hard.
From Owen: What are the pros and cons of coming into the game as a replacement this late? It was very hard to get used to this system, the most difficult thing was trying to catch up with who did what and when. As for the pros, I think it was interesting to be able to play based mostly on first impressions, and some of the players cut me some slack my first turn, which was good. I would have liked to be in since the beginning, but it has been a good experience so far.
From Cinnamyn: name sumthing u have dun or thot in dis game on ur own [sic] Top of my head...nominating Chance the first turn I played in.

From Lawrence: Has your experience in Spies 8 differed from how you thought it would be? How? Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I like to play RL mafia, so when I say the ad for this game I wanted in. I think the main thing that makes this game particularly difficult is that you get no non-verbal cues on people, so it's not that easy to assess other people's personality. I think this puts everybody on the same level. It's been good fun so far.

Owen, Jas, Claude, Dane, Hammy - When I do come up cit, what will that change on your thoughts with everyone?
I don't think you are going to come up as a citizen. But if you do, I think I'm just going to have to wonder why Awohali would lie on his exit. Kiara, for me, would look less scummy..however her role is still very suspcious and could still be a spy role or made up completely..so aside from wondering what the hell Awohali was thinking..not much will change with people. If you become a spy however, which is more likely. It will effect people like Kiara--who will then look more scummy, and will most likely get voted piled on her for the following round.

4. Sam: How did you end up hosting these games? Do you have any experience hosting other types of games?

I suppose suspecting Gertrude would fit here. I suspected her on some level since the first episode when I FoS'd her vote, she was the latest Imprisonment victim. So that was obviously wrong. It wasn't completely false information, as she was apparently acting scummy on purpose. No, I don't think any harm came out of it directly - other than time was wasted when it could of been better spent. No, definitely not hesitant. As it on some level solidified my thinking that she was scummy - she was just doing it on purpose. Absolutely every one has made at least one bad decision so far. I think it is too early to really judge whether or not some thing good can come out of misdirected suspicions - in this case, it remains to be seen. If the town ends up victorious, then sure. " .. the unexamined life is not worth living.." Fits perfectly here. So, no I don't. It has apparently served me well considering my win/loss tally. Yes, I can see that - if I take into account a background of Survivor. However I have rarely had problems before, so it isn't me. Naked. I have been proverbially naked this entire game. I don't hide things, and I don't lie. Cinnamyn and Claude for sure. Both seemed to be much more in the thick of things at the beginning of the game. I thought Cinnamyn would be a leader figure - not so. Claude's presence the last handful of episodes
