This episode we will have a short activity called Inquisition. Basically, we will ask each other any question on our minds and the person must answer it. I have done this before during Exile and it's been really popular. It will also give you a chance to ask me any questions you may have, please don't be shy, ask whatever you like. I may not be able to answer it but I will try.
Please respond to all questions asked towards you in this thread as soon as possible. Every player must ask at least six unique questions. You can ask as many as you want. You may direct your question towards multiple people if you like. Answer each question to the best of your ability.
I will begin.
Claude, Rondak, Stephanie: Do you think the Societal Collapse twist, with the House of Representatives and the Senate, has made it easier or harder to catch Spies? Do you think either group feel less "responsible" for who is Exiled? Which did you more enjoy being a part of?
Cinnamyn, Jenny, Jasmine: Have you noticed anybody plan, strategize, or act in certain ways in order to avoid being Imprisoned? Do you suspect anyone has held back, not revealed their true thoughts, lurked, or did anything different in order to lessen their chances of being Imprisoned? Have you ever done anything to avoid being Imprisoned? If so what and when?
Kiara, Mary, Owen: Is there anybody in the game, past or present, who you talked with on AIM and just got a "citizen" vibe from them? What made you think they were a Citizen? If they have been eliminated, were they actually a Citizen? Have you noticed anyone who appears to be a Citizen in AIM, but not on their board posts, or vice versa? Which weighs more to you?
Lawrence, Chance, Dane: Is there anybody in the game, past or present, who you talked with on AIM and just got a "spy" vibe from them? What made you think they were a Spy? If they have been eliminated, were they actually a Spy? Have you noticed anyone who appears to be a Spy in AIM, but not on their board posts, or vice versa? Which weighs more to you?
Broderick, Hambone: Name an important time in the game in which you fervently pushed for an idea, an exile, or a point of view in which you really believed it was true but it later turned out to be completely false. What happened? Did you do any harm to others by pushing the false information? Did this make you more hesitant towards pushing things in the future? Do you think everyone has made a bad decision at this point, or can good things ultimately come out of misdirected suspicions?

I guess the only person that would apply to this question so far is Themba. I slowly built a case on her, and then Me and Z both made very similar cases on her during one week. She got a lot of votes that week (then was the team switch thing) and then she was eliminated that next week. Her actions were very suspicious, even with the way she spoke online, and she was my #1 suspect for two weeks straight. It definitely isn't making me hesitant for pushing other cases. Not at all. SHIT HAPPENS, you know. You make one wrong case, but then you can make two right ones... Jenny will prove this statement correct hopefully

Should have waited 24 hours to ask him that Sammy. You'd get a better reaction that way. Let's see, what question did I get. I know Al did a bit of that a while ago when that first bit about "Gabe-Gabe is the doctor" came out, because he convinced himself he was going to be imprisoned after saying so for some reason. Ended up helping nothing, because he then vanished from the game for several days. As for myself, haven't really needed to it looks like. Apparently my normal playstyle is uncommon enough around here that people find it strange, and I've been able to get past imprisonments on that alone or something. Even if it wasn't the case though, I'm used to getting killed fast, so I usually do what I can before that happens. Just avoiding imprisonment doesn't really matter much if it makes you inactive in the process.

If so what and when?I think several people most likely avoid things in order to not be imprisoned. Several people complain about the lack of people being around, and I think for some citizens that could be a way to avoid being imprisoned. People like Cinnamyn, who the democrats quickly chose as someone who was more likely a citizen then a spy for example. I think maybe she started to hold back to look less like a citizen, and more suspcious. I think many people could be doing similar things to avoid imprisonment, or even exile. I don't think I have done much to avoid being imprisoned. People have always been hot and cold with me, which has most likely helped me in not being imprisoned over others. Nothing sticks out for me as something I did to avoid being imprisoned.

Sam, are you disappointed in participation thus far? It seems like some players(Chance, Claude, Broderick, Jenny) have openly said they are frustrated with it. But are you?

Mary, has your cold sore gone away?

Owen, do you think Kiara is a citizen or a spy? Explain. Haven't seen you around in awhile..so would love to hear your thoughts on what you think of Kiara/Awohali/Jenny situation.
Claude, do you plan on getting help for your depression? Or attempting to fix it?

Plenty of the eliminated players (via imprisonment) are people that I got strong town vibes from. In order of elimination: Gabe, Nita, Tina, Cory. Along with just a general vibe that I got from them, I built up trust with them over time that made me even more convinced that they were town.
Gabe: Fought for the things he believed with sincerity. Nita: Similar suspicions, great scumhunting. Tina: Always hunting for new things, most proactive player in the game. Cory: The most open player in the game to me.
Three of the four came up as town, Nita came up as third party. However, although Nita was going to have to complete scum tasks, I still feel like she was one of the best scumhunters (if not the best) and was pro-town. I'd be shocked if she was in the dead lounge right now rooting for anyone other than the town.
As far as someone that comes off as town to me over AIM, I'd have to say Stephanie oozes citizen to me when we talk. I've said it so many times, but anyone can say and do anything to appear town. However, you have to look for the sincerity in things. While Steph has said and done some pretty crazy shit, I really feel like she believes the things she says and does. Isaac would be a perfect example for all of this.
I haven't noticed anyone that comes off much differently in their Burg posts compared to interactions with them on AIM. Sure, there's some people that are more active on AIM then they are on the forums, but that's just to way that some people are wired. As far as which one weighs heavier on me, I'll go with AIM. On AIM that you have less time to strategically formulate an answer. Things posted on the forums can be worked on for a period of time to improve your answer, but what you get on AIM is raw and in real-time. At the same time, I think AIM leaves a lot of room for spies to manipulate by forming personal relationships/friendships that can skew your judgment.
In the night, I hear 'em talk, coldest story ever told. Somewhere far along this road he lost his role, to a woman so heartless.
Anyway, leaning scum for the time being. As I've told a few others, I regretted my decision to change my vote from Kiara to Zedekiah E6 after her late role-claim. 1. Her role isn't exactly powerful, nor is it confirmable. All it's doing right now is creating controversy. 2. Out of the options I was presented with at the time, I felt most strongly that Kiara was scum.
As far the Awohali situation is concerned, both the logical and emotional side of me is believing that Awohali was telling the truth. If we can't believe a confirmed citizen who didn't appear to be reckless and even stuck to everything after he was already voted out and was leaving the room, we're more screwed than a "straight" guy on Baitbus. At this point of the game, him coming out with something like that could break the game for the town and I'd be floored if he selfishly did that.
Jenny has said that it makes no sense for Kiara as either alignment to lie about this, but to me it would make complete sense if she and Jenny were scum together. As she's still voting for her, she would still be able to look like she was against her, and at the same time, it would make their look like there was one less "town" role out there (Awo's). I know that I'm not the only person that has questioned the amount of "town" roles out there and thought that there have been too many. If Kiara has a scum role or her role was made up entirely to save her ass at the last second, Awohali not having a role would make it seem much more plausible that there's more town roles out there.
I heard the theory yesterday about the one-use role turning him into a 'nilla citizen and it's a good thought and a possibility, but unfortunately it's not concrete.
My questions:
Sam - Have you sensed a lack of character roleplay this season compared to seasons past? If so, do you have any suggestions for us to make the game more enjoyable from a character perspective? *cough*we need fun activities, not critiques that give spies free reign to make us look like shit*cough*
Lawrence/Rondak - What are the pros and cons of coming into the game as a replacement this late?
Hambone - Final 2? Also, you've made it known that you're a "Survivor player." To clarify, do you have any previous Mafia experience?
Kiara - As someone that had a fixation on voting for role-holders for a few rounds, what are your current thoughts on all of the roles that have been figured out/outted?
Mary - At this point of the game, do you think it's more important to avoid imprisonment or to go all out?
Everyone - Give one word that describes your gameplay thus far. Explain.

Lawrence I get a cit read from his forum posts usually, but in AIM chats he gives me a gut feeling of him being decidely less citizenish. Meanwhile Kiara gives me a slight scum read going just from her forum posts (besides the last one) but always leave me feeling she is a citizen in aim chats with her. I don't know which is more dangerous. Forum posts can be thought out beforehand, but it's easy to play to someone's style live.
My questions for others still to come

If they have been eliminated, were they actually a Spy? Have you noticed anyone who appears to be a Spy in AIM, but not on their board posts, or vice versa? Which weighs more to you?
I got a "spy" vibe from Dane the first time we chatted, but it may have been due to his antagonistic attitude in chats. I have not noticed any discrepancy between people who look scummy on board posts as opposed to aim, and vice versa.
Lawrence/Rondak - What are the pros and cons of coming into the game as a replacement this late?
Something that is both a pro and a con is getting a character you did not create to attempt to role play as. It is kind of a refreshing challenge, but it is somewhat difficult to know what the original player had in mind with it. A con is that everyone else here has had six more episodes to gain reads on AIM than me, while I had to start anew upon entering the game.
My Questions:
1. Owen, Rondak, Sam - Has your experience in Spies 8 differed from how you thought it would be? How? Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
2. Stephanie, Jenny, Chance - Which player are you most likely to chat with after the game? In other words, have you made any friends while playing?
3. Hambone, Broderick - In your opinion, have any players become a disappointment as compared to how they played in the early game?
4. Claude, Mary - And vice versa, is any player a pleasant surprise as compared to how they played in the early game?
5. Jasmine, Cinnamyn - What has been the most shocking moment for you thus far?
6. Kiara, Dane - If this were a game of Survivor, who would be the most likely to succeed? Most likely to fail?

For Lawrence's Question: If this was a game of survivor, most likely jenny, nita, or owen would have won. None really pissed people off (well, nita pissed off allan, but who cares about him), and all are useful to a team. For fail: Allan, allan, allan.
My first two questions: 1. STEPHANIE: Why did you misrepresent our conversation when I was trying to quickly get my 2 convos? I showed others some of our quotes and they agreed that you DID, in fact, misrepresent it.
2. SAM: Would a roleholder whose role involves gaining a one-time use ability still be considered a roleholder after the role has run its course? For instance, if, hypothetically, spies7Jaiden had remained in the game, and if, hypothetically, spies7tracey had managed to use her vigilante kill, then was imprisoned, and jaiden used his security checkpoint role on her, what would have come up?

Sam said they could be directed at multiple people, so I'll go ahead and answer these quickly before I sleep. A bit. I've never really been one that people claimed to, but this game it feels like I'm a god damn role whisperer. It's good to have information, but at the same time it was extremely stressful. Same goes for being dictator. In general, I usually have a bit more fun in games than I've been having this time around. Could be due to other things going on, but I didn't expect it to be as stressful as it's been. The postgame is one of the best parts of all of this, so I actually look forward to talking to everyone afterwards. But in particular, I'd say that I bonded the most with Cory and look forward to being able to talk to him again. There's others that I particularly enjoy the company of, but if you're looking for specifics, have to go with Cory. And because she hasn't been mentioned lately, have to give a shoutout to Themba. She never failed at making me laugh. Not really. My opinions of people actually get better as the game goes along for the most part. I'm not sure the word pleasant should ever be associated with his name , but my opinion towards Broderick has changed quite a bit over the past episode. I didn't think there was much hope that the two of us would see eye to eye or get along for the rest of this, but as of late we've been communicating a lot better. Really didn't have high hopes for Stephanie at first either, but she quickly grew on me. When I had been telling Jasmine her pictures were HOT only to realize she has a shanker. Oh right, that wasn't me. Not sure I can just pick one, but these moments stood out to me: - Savannah coming up town & claiming her role only after being voted out. - Gabe's imprisonment. - My #1 citizen Nita not being a citizen. - Mason's claim. - Allan taking the bribe (for all of two seconds until I remembered that he was going to quit for free after the first exile). - Coming back and seeing Awo's claim and all of the other madness. Only taking into account everyone that's left: Succeed - Hambone -- No, this isn't a segue to another Hambone Survivor joke. He doesn't stand out TOO much and I have yet to talk to anyone that doesn't like him. Generally liked, not overly threatening, social enough. Fail - Broderick -- Threatening + argumentative = likely Survivor failure. Though, these don't mean much considering we're not playing with Survivor strategies.

open.
i have dun tryed 2 play dis game az open az poss, and i think at dis point dat iz da only way we can cum togetha and win. secrecy can help da citz, yea, but wen it grows out of control and u gots 2 many ppl in a trusted group..den u doin' sumthin' wrong. i alwayz make my stances clear, and encourage otha ppl 2 do da same, even if i gots 2 drag it outta dem.
peachez its errything i thot it wud b. but i only told sam i'd play dis game if dey wuz sum fierce bitchez in it wit' me, and dey shure iz sum bitchez but it lackin' in da fierce departmint. and dat iz a bad thing.
if i had 2 pick 1 persun i'd probly say jazmine cuz i think we wud get on real great. but really i wud lyke 2 chat wit' errybody, cuz i enjoy errybodys presence in da game and even wen we fight and certin ppl get on my tits sumtimes (broderick) after da game itz a dif'rent story and i think imma b friends wit' errybody after.
no. imo errybody pritty much acts da same az dey did da furst round. o, maybe claude, cuz he pritty much jus' sits in hiz pool of self pity over doing activities and certainty of spies that he doeznt seem 2 want 2 participate much n e more.
stephanie gettin' more vocal wit' her ideaz and not backing down even wen ppl call dem stupid.
awohalicit.
jenny, owen, gert, mary, cory, jasmine, hambone, me - succeed. jenny wud get taken 2 f2 az a goat and get beaten, letz say by cory. i wud probly get cirie'd f3, owen wud get voted out az a thret f4, jasmine/hambone f6/5 after a tumultuous love affair, mary f7 cuz she threatened 2 kill 1 of us, gert evacuated f8 2 have her bb.
fail - dane, broderick, nita, claude, magalie. self explanatory.

Answer to CINNAMYN: I'll admit I could probably put up more cases in the burg. Something I'm working on. AIM wise...Definitely satisfied that I put in more than enough time, and definitely a lot more than my prior commitment to just an hour or two a day. And definitely more than Broderick.
My Question 3 TO CINAMMYN: You previously defended awohali and found him one of the most cit players. What are three big reasons that changed your opinion so much that you advocated his lynching and him flipping cit was one of the most surprising moments of the game for you?

When the Senate was quite a small group, it seemed easier to catch spies; they certainly did a good job with Isaac and Magalie. The House certainly feels less responsible and we have seen numerous cases of people not nominating their favorite for exile, but instead nominating someone to give the senate more choices or because their favorite was already being nominated. Gives the spies a lot of leeway in their votes. I enjoyed the Senate more, where I feel like my vote has meant something, even if it hasn’t yet meant enough to make a majority for my candidate.
The rest of the burg would probably say “crazy” here, but I would say “earnest”. I’ve tried to play the game in an earnest, straight-forward manner. I’ve tried to call them like I see them at the time and if that makes everyone think me crazy, then so be it.
I am looking forward to chatting with some of the players who died early, like Gabe, Themba, and Lilith. Have I made friends? I am not sure that I would consider two people hidden by made-up characters chatting over aim exactly as friends, but yeah, I hope I’ve made some friends.
I did not realize that I had misrepresented it. I am not able to quote the entire conversation, so I obviously had to paraphrase. If you and others thought that my paraphrasing misrepresented the conversation, I’d be interested to see exactly how and why. In any case, everyone knows that I have been on your case since episode one, so I assume that most of what I say about you is taken with a grain of salt.

Yes, I have had some. Just way smaller games, all on the same site that I'm certain no one has ever heard of. They lasted only about 2 weeks tops as well, and I don't think most of the cast took the games seriously at all.

I'm definitely worried. A vote is valuable, and when I don't agree with the way other people are voting, I can use my vote to try and change the tides. If I don't get my vote back I'm gonna be pissed off, and maybe even stop caring about the game a little bit to be honest with you. I know that sounds silly to say, but it's true. So yeah, my gameplay would change significantly... I'd no longer have a vote to cast, so I won't care about the game as much.

This is a hard question, but...... "Strong" I've been a strong player in this game, which is both a word that fits my physical self and my mental state of being. I'm not afraid of anything or anyone (DANE!) and I always make sure my points and cases are heard. (P.S. I almost used the word "Hamtastic" but that was just stupid )

HAMMERHEADBONER'S Questions:
---
Jenny - If you were about to get eliminated due to the suspicion of you being a Spy, what would your final words be?
-__-
Also, can you explain to me why Dane is a citizen in your eyes? I see a clear connection between you two and I've been looking at it a lot recently, ever since you two doubleteamed me on AIM the other night.
---
Dane - I've got a lot of questions for you.
1. I never knew you suspected Jenny. When and why did this happen? She has been sticking up for you for several weeks now and claims you are a Citizen more so than most other people, and the other night on AIM the both of you doubleteamed me with question after question, which further added to the prevailing bond you two have... and yet you have stated you are voting for her... BUT, you were too lazy to even go on the board and state a reason as to why you are voting for her, so Brody had to post if for you. I asked Brody what you reason for voting out your buddy Jenny was, and this is what he said that you said.
spies8broderick: (3:17:53 AM)I asked him why he was voting jenny, and he said, and I quote
spies8dane (21:46:22): Are you fucktacularly fucktarded or something?
2. It seems when you don't know the answer to something you just lash out at people. Are you hiding behind your character? Do you agree that your character is the easiest one in the game to hide behind and skate to the end of the game as?
3. I am 99.9% certain that one of the Zedekiah voters/nominators is a Spy. I believed strongly he was a Citizen, and I urged everyone not to vote him out, but they did, and alas, I was right.
The Z voters: Cory (DEAD), Gertrude (DEAD), and Owen.
(If Owen is alive in 2 more weeks I AM voting him out.)
The Z nominators: Zedekiah (DEAD penalty), Chance, and Dane.
Since Owen has voted out 3 Spies now and would be DUMB to target since he's helping significantly, and Chance has this Devil role thing (which I will get to later), then that just leaves you, Dane. The other night on AIM when you yelled at me, I didn't really know what to think of it... it's just what you do. But I've had enough of saying that. Because I am sick of what you do. Why do you yell at people? Why did you nominate Zedekiah, when in Week One you turned off Zedekiah and went after Alexei?
3. Explain to me your connection with Jenny.
That's enough for now, but I'm not through with you.
---
Cinnamon - Where have you been? I haven't seen you online in like two weeks. Now that you were wrong about Awohali and said that him flipping citizen was the most surprising thing for you in the game so far, who are you going to turn to next and why?
---
Chance - With a role titled "The Devil," why should we trust you? To me that sounds like the ULTIMATE evil scum role, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. With your role you can easily save Spies from exile just as easily as you can save Citizens, if someone votes for you, that is, since that activates your role as you have stated.
You said you planned on avenging Cory, did you accomplish this yet? If not, how do you plan on doing so?
Do you still suspect Claude. Even a little?
---
Jasmine - We were all just given really good opportunities to ask each other questions and I feel like you kinda just wasted yours. Over the last couple of days a few people, me included, have said that you are the most "neutral-looking" person in the game, meaning that no one knows where you stand in the game, scum or townie. Why do you think this is?
When is the last time you made a case on someone?
There are 4 Spies left, if you had to make a guess on who they were right now, who would you pick.
(Note: I just want to know where you stand in the game which is why I'm asking you these demanding questions.)

Kiara - All this shit between You and Jenny is bothering the hell out of me. First you vote her out, but then you help clear her, but tell us all you still think she should be voted out. And so on. Yes, I understand now, so you don't need to clean up what I just said.
I simply want to know from you WHY Jenny is a Spy. Don't use the answer "Dying words of Awo and Gert". I know you've already told me you "dont like her suspicions", but her suspicions are YOU among a few other people, so that's kind of biased. So, why do you feel Jenny is a Spy, and are you voting for her this week?

I am posting these questions now just in case I lose them all from my comp glitching or something, cuz that would piss me off, but I am still writing up more.
