After someone has been Imprisoned, everyone will come together to Exile somebody from the group who they think is an undercover Spy. The Citizens' goal is to eliminate the Spies one by one while the Spies must avoid elimination.
Please vote before the deadline. To vote, create a new topic in your confessional called Episode (the #) Vote. Give me the name of the person you want to vote and a short reason why you are voting for them. The reason is important. Please expand upon "I think they are a Spy." Reasons will never be revealed or shown until the game is over. If you don't vote by the deadline, you will receive self-votes. (for more information see the Penalties for Inactives thread).
Votes will be revealed LIVE in chat at the live Exile. First, I will chat with the group. I will make announcements and impart important information. I will announce the upcoming schedule and other notes. (If you are unable to attend the live Exile, the transcript will be posted immediately afterwards in this forum.) Then I will collect the votes and reveal them dramatically. Official vote counts are not revealed until live Exile, however many players reveal their voting intentions beforehand much like an actual game of Mafia IRL.
In Spies, you make public votes. Your name will be revealed and associated with the person you voted for publicly. What this means is that I will type: "Vote #2: Cindy, by Victoria." Additionally, self-votes and penalty votes will be added in at this point.
The person who receives the majority of the votes is immediately Exiled. They will be eliminated right there under suspicion of being a Spy. After they have been eliminated live in chat, it will be revealed if the person you just exiled was a Citizen or a Spy.
If it is you that is Exiled, you are automatically eliminated from the game. You may say short goodbyes, but please do not reveal ANY game-related information or suspicions you may have. Please log off your AIM name as soon as you discover you are eliminated.
A few days after someone is Exiled, another Imprisonment takes place. For more information on how Imprisonment works, read the "About Imprisonment" thread.
