You are a....
Spy.
Good luck in eliminating the Citizens.

You should see a new board on the Spies main page that says Spy Headquarters. Click on it to get to the different site that Spy HQ is located on.
Log onto that site using your same name / password as you logged on to this site with.
Then post to meet your fellow Spies.

You have an ability that is special. You are the Messenger. As a postal worker for the city, you are in the unique position to send and receive secret, anonymous messages to a variety of people without being noticed.
During the game, you will be allowed to send anonymous messages to any player you wish. Messages are limited to 100 words or less. It may include a picture. It will be posted in their confessional without a name attached.
Right now you have 1 ability:
1) Send an anonymous message to one person. You can do this twice an Episode.
As the game goes on you may receive additional abilities.
This may seem like a harmless ability, but with creative use it could prove to be incredibly powerful. With finesse and a carefully worded message sent to the right person at the right time you could drastically alter the game for evil. If you have any questions, please post them in this thread.

I accept my role and my alignment.
I will be waiting another day before posting in my Spy forum. I want my fellow Spies to treat me publicly like the loner I am, not the least bit like a friend.

I am concerned that if I use this role and someone tests me as "Mary is a Citizen with a role" it will come up false and I will be screwed. So I am not using it until I speak with you and possibly work through the risks and rewards in my head.

That is a possibility but it is a possibility for all Spy roles, and it might not be a good idea for a Spy never to use a role just because of that. How many times before have I done a "cit with a role" investigation? I know I've done "spy with a role" once and "vanilla citizen" once or twice.

Also the messages are anonymous, at least from my part.

I would like to use this power to send messages to a pair of masons. I am thinking Isaac and Gabriel, and also Gertrude and Lawrence as possibilities. The messages would be like: 3.bp.blogspot.com/_TYvlC8IxUPM/SdNsi7Yy3LI/AAAAAAAAB3E/O9oU0q8Ucls/s400/15dollars.jpg"You have a mason partner, and I will reveal you two to each other unless one of you accepts this bribe. The bribe is $15. The first one of you to reply to this message with acceptance of the bribe will receive $15 after the game. The other one will receive nothing. If neither of you accept the bribe by the end of this episode, I will reveal your mason partner, who is a guaranteed Citizen. If you reveal this bribe to anyone, you will receive a major penalty." Will the message that you send look like it comes from you, or from a secret messenger? Or will it be the same as in previous seasons--just posted by you word for word with no further comment? I will give you the exact message to send later. Can you please AIM with me to discuss this? Thanks, Mary

Reposting this from my Confessional #2:
I think I am going to play the Messenger role as a vigilante Citizen looking for corrupt people in the Burg. It totally fits the flavor of the game.
So I will be sending messages to Citizens to try and corrupt them and prove their corruption publicly. I may pretend that I have a one-shot vigilante power in order to frighten people into doing the right thing.
Of course, if I happen to accidentally create a Citizen mason alliance between a Cit and a Spy in the process, or cause other unintended mayhem, that's not really my fault, is it?

In Episode 4 your messenger powers have expanded, you can now write up to 500 words in your message and the player will be told they can respond if they wish.

With Savannah a confirmed Citizen Messenger, I can't really pretend to be a good Messenger anymore. So I'm just plain using it for evil.
