oh thank sweet glorious heaven. that was the most scary exile i've ever been to ever. i expected cam to have voted for claude, which would have made it a three way tie, which would have meant that cin, mags, and lil would have revoted, and lil wasn't there, so it would have been cin and mags, and i was cin's second choice so basically.... i would have been exiled. i never want to come that close to being exiled ever again ever.

the spies offered me a bribe! exciting.
apparently if i decline the bribe, i will be made a mason with another player. i.e. i'll know that they're a citizen, confirmed, and they'll know that i'm a citizen, confirmed. pretty freakin' handy as far as i'm concerned, especially with how close i came to being exiled just now. the bribe's $7.50 - if i accept it, i don't get a mason partner. there's a catch though - it's like prisoner's dilemma. see, the person who i would be made a mason with got the same bribe - and if they take it, even if i don't, we aren't made masons.
i declined. if they decline, we're made masons. if they accept, then i get squat and they get $7.50.
please please please let them decline please. we stand to gain so much more than a measly seven dollars and fifty cents (not to demean your bribery system and the act of putting up your own money, sam). please decline.

also, imprisonment predictions. my first instinct is nita - she (and tina) basically led the alexei exile, as far as i can tell. the only reason i'm picking nita over tina is because tina's also implicated in some stuff over on our side of the political fence and the spies might want to take advantage. however, tina is my second choice.
third... well, my gut wanted to put cory here, but my head is wondering how a seemingly-smart guy like him could have been suckered into a camilla exile. so no. maybe jenny or cinnamyn.

talking to lil right now and she made me think of something. if claude's a spy (and i really think he is), who's he spies with? right now i'm wondering about a claude/cory pair.
i remember at the very beginning claude was deadly sure cory was a spy (just as deadly sure as he was on cam, actually) and cory was very blase about the whole thing. subtle distancing? also, claude's 'case' on cory was entirely overblown and full of more holes than the bathroom stall walls at the apollo... extremely different than his case on cam.

still think claude's a spy.
i'm not certain about the 'defense of tina and cory before hammering on them' reason anymore, but the double-standard suspicion of tina still holds pretty firm, i think. add to that his deflecting onto cam, and all the twisting of her words she did, and the attempted-twisting of my words, and...
talking to lil is making me suspicious of cory. maybe i should talk to him.

alright. talking to lil has been extremely enlightening. it's made me think.
i still think claude's a spy - reasons already given.
now i'm wondering about gertie and cory.
gertie's switch on cam seems like a bandwagon. especially since she agreed with me that there was no contradiction between cam's two statements on her voting philosophy earlier when claude was twisting them to say they were contradictory.
actually i'm shocked that anyone bought the cam case. well, not shocked that claude voted her, and beginning to wonder about gertie. but cory seemed intelligent - i was kind of surprised that he bought the case. in any case marge's vote was complete bandwagon, but i'm not sure if it's not just because she's a newbie and didn't trust herself, or something.
all in all, the vote that surprises me the most in that wagon was cory's. i really need to talk to him, but he's sharp. i need to marshal my thoughts before i do, otherwise he'll make mincemeat out of me.

why are all the viewers so impressed with cin? yeah she has a bold font, and yeah she talks like a thug, and yeah she's big and black. but all she's really done so far is facilitate discussion without really taking part in it herself and waste her vote on someone who was never going to be exiled. i don't like it. i'm afraid that she could be a spy who's going to slip through on the strength of her personality (i mean, i like her, even though she suspects me) but yeah.

notes against claude -
spies8claude (7:31:52 PM): I don't think that you're a Spy, and have specifically stated this.
also, the conversation i pmed claude
spies8claude (2:24:00 PM): I'll explain that. spies8chance (2:24:01 PM): what difference does that make? spies8claude (2:24:03 PM): In a minute.

isn't that the first doctor save in spies history? either way, pretty freakin' exciting. neets was vulnerable, so i'm assuming (i know, i know, bad chance) that she's a cit for now.
also, i'm officially immune from exile, thanks to... y'know, me. i'm hoping suspicion on me will blow over with some good solid participation this round, but we'll see. i may just have prolonged and sealed my fate at exile 3 since i can't use my power then now since i won't be voted for.

holy mother of jesus god mary freaking yes.
gertie declined the bribe too.
we're masons.
this is extremely funny because before i got that message, gertie messaged me. she basically deduced my role from me asking her if she'd trade votes with me, so i claimed to her. then i find out she's my mason partner.
yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes.
okay, it's kind of funny, but i'm the devil and gertie is the angel. apparently she can make people immune from imprisonment, which isn't such a big logical leap considering i make people immune from exile. however, her power works by her not getting votes. and the longer she goes without getting votes, the more people she can make immune.
i am so so so so so happy right now.
also, my vote got taken away and claude claims to have done it. here's the relevant bit:
spies8claude 8:12 pm I also have these abilities: I can pick someone, and choose 2 other people. That person will not be able to vote for those people. I can also pick someone, and choose 3 other people. That person will only be able to vote for those people.
this is in addition to taking away someone's vote. apparently he has to use each power once before they recycle.
i'm not sure what to think. any role could be cit or spy, as we learned last time.

so i put up my case on claude today. apparently as of right now claude is marshaling his forces to respond to it. we'll see what he says. hal says i have relevant points.
gertie says people were suspecting me in the chatroom while i was putting my case up. bitches.
brod is a grade-a prick. see conversation for details. i'm not sure if he knows he's coming off as a prick or what, but he's a prick. he's also convinced i'm a spy and i don't think i'm going to convince him otherwise so i don't really even want to deal with his unpleasantness.

Shane saved Anneliese in Spies 3 and Xavier saved John in Spies 5. I felt the exact same way about Cinnamyn. (We didn't know at the time that her fans also had access to her confessional.)

Shane saved Anneliese in Spies 3 and Xavier saved John in Spies 5. Yes, Cory joined our exclusive club. I don't know how things were after Shane made his save, but it seems like being saved is pretty much the kiss of death. John basically committed suicide within the game by self exiling Episode 2 and then we have poor Gabe who was imprisoned the following episode. Both cases, neither myself nor Cory made contact with the people we saved. Granted, I didn't talk to John because he was an emotionally loose cannon. And I don't even remember if he was online for me to even talk to after his save.

Shane saved Anneliese in Round 4. He was imprisoned in Round 5. Anneliese was imprisoned in Round 6 (might have been exiled round 5 if not for Trina's Do or Die). Kiss of death indeed.
The only successful saver-savee relationship that I know of was Karl saving Adriana in round 3. She was imprisoned round 8 and he lasted until the end of the game.

I think Cinnamyn's personality is why she managed to stay afloat for a while...I mean, after I was exiled it became apparent to me it was simply a cover. But things are also alot different from a viewer's perspective (even without confessional access) than from the game.

Ah, I didn't realize there'd been more. Cory's not as superspecialawesome as I thought he was.
