E-mails have been sent to you containing your password and log-in instructions. Read the e-mail for instructions on how to access your accounts with which you will play the game with. Check your junk-mail folder if you can't find it, and IM / e-mail me if your accounts don't work.
So what to do now? It's time to meet your fellow villagers.
Don't worry, the idea of meeting that many people at once freaks me out just as it does you.
That's why tonight live at chat, you will be randomly divided into two teams: the Democrats and the Republicans. Each team will vote out one of its own separately at separate Exiles.
This will help a lot because do you really want to individually chat with 29 new people?
Getting to know 14 others is a much more manageable task, though its still quite a bit.
Until you are divided up tonight, get to know people as a group by joining the spies8 AIM chat room. If you like, feel free to individually chat with a few friends you meet there as well.
This way we can take steps and get to know people slowly. It is not expected that you know everyone's name or talk to everyone today, or even by the first Exile, but you should focus on getting to know your team members closely and attempt to talk with all of them.
About the message board:
1) Use this board "The Burg" as a place to discuss things between all of you. I'll also use it to address all of you at once and make announcements.
2) Use your individual team board by clicking on it up top to discuss all sorts of things between your team, including who you want to Exile first. (they will open tonight after chat) Create as many new threads as you want - Spies isn't just played in one thread like most online mafia games. Rarely are there strict rules about when/where you can post. You can post day or night and Day or Night. Edit posts if it strikes your fancy. Post all over the place wherever you want!
