Motherfucker. Savannah was a citizen with a role? ? I should have exiled her!!!!!!!! This is twice that the more elusive mission has slipped through my fingers. DC not happy. I'm really pissed! There was no way I could have known about this, or the tie last round for that matter, but still. Exiling Citizens with roles happens usually just once a game, so I feel like I missed that one-time shot. Also, I'm surprised Savannah was a Citizen. I genuinely thought she was a Spy. I thought I was getting 2 missions in one night - getting the second highest number of votes for someone and exiling a Spy without voting for them. I'm glad we're not allowed to post in the Burg on Friday & Saturday. That gives me time to make sure I didn't tell anyone for sure that I was voting Savannah. Timeline that I have now: - I posted on 6/24 in the Burg that I wasn't sure who I was voting for. So my story would have to be, I thought I changed my vote before signing off, but I must have forgotten while I was posting chat transcripts.

I've changed my story. I'm going to say that I meant to write down Savannah's name but somehow ended up writing Themba's name instead. I'm going to say that my voting reason was for Savannah, I just mistyped the name in my rush to get out the door.
I wish I could lie about it and said I did it on a bribe, but that wouldn't work this round for two reasons:
- I still don't have an inkling as to how bribes work and how they are offered, so whoever controls that might have some kind of info to prove it's a lie and then I'll be caught lying about my vote
- The group now knows I knew about Allan's role. Obviously I knew Allan was getting votes from the group chat & voting thread. It would have been irresponsible of me to accept a bribe when a Citizen roleholder's neck was on the line
Maybe when I'll backtrack and claim that a bribe was the real reason when I have 9 missions accomplished.
Missions left to accomplish this round: - Exile a Citizen with a role (you must vote for them when they go)
- Get a Citizen Exiled with 80% or more of the vote. (there must be more than three people voting)
- Get a Spy Exiled without you voting for them in that round
- Go through this Exile without getting any votes
- Arrange a tie vote (it does not need to tie at the re-vote)
- Have someone use a role on you
Possible:
- Receive a positive prize from a challenge or activity
- Make up a bribe and say you accepted it and get at least 3 others to believe it

My story:
Thursday afternoon I was doin a lot, talkin with to Kiara y Tina, puttin my post together (the one en Grand Ol' Parlay), postin my conversations, votin, y tryin to turn off the computadora y leave ASAP. I had it in my head I was votin Savannah. I thought I vote Savannah. My reason en my confessional was for Savannah: "I hurryin to leave so I can't say much now, but I'm votin her because I think in pre-exile chat she try to save Alexei y she wasn't interested in my Alexei suspicions." Only somehow I no write down Savannah's name but write down Themba's instead. I no know why. Maybe Themba just on the brain because I research y write so much bout her at the end of my post.

One more mission complete. I didn't vote for Savannah, but at least she sent me a goodbye present (a message = she used her role on me). Gracias chica.
I'm worried about Jenny this round. Rondak says he's going to make a case on her. Cinnamyn points out that Jenny didn't do anything to save Allan other than role-claiming for him (by making a case on anyone else). Jenny doesn't ask people about their suspicions, doesn't do a great job spyhunting, and is seen by everyone as reclusive and noncommittal.
I'll admit, I almost want the case on her to pick up so I can throw her under my bus and get my 80% Citizen elimination mission. It would also be nice to know she can't blab my secret. But I might also need her help winning a prize, so we'll see what happens. I'm trying to coach her, but she's so sure she knows what she's doing.
I would like to exile Claude this round. He has a role which would achieve one of my missions, he's suspicious as hell, and I think he's an easy target. I think I could nail him if I make the right connections.

The Republicans are so cute. I was reading what they were saying about me in the group chat and I just love them. Tina especially. This is the first day in the game that we've been separated and at several parts I found myself thinking "God, if only I could talk to Tina and tell her about (whatever is being discussed at the moment)". I really think they'll be shocked when they find out I'm not a Citizen Cinnamyn - Doesn't want to lynch Claude. Walked into the trap I set for her in our conversation today (she didn't suspect Claude or Camilla, suspected Chance, knew the vote was going to be close, and didn't switch. So as a result of her inaction, Camilla left and Chance stayed. I got her to admit this without her seeing where I was going, I think. Also got her to admit that she isn't following up on the questions she asks - she's just asking questions) Gertrude - Pretty spylike. She might be up for exiling Claude. Magalie - Suspicious. She wants to vote Claude. Chance - Didn't talk to him, but since Claude is framing this as a showdown, my guess is he would vote Claude. Hambone & Rondak - I bet I could get them to vote Claude Jenny - I think I could get her to vote Claude too. She'll be in hot water this episode (Hambone, Rondak, and Cinnamyn are coming after her) and she's a fan of voting for people because they do something stupid (a la Zedekiah). Claude said a lot of dumb things today and she was quick to say "WTF?" Unaccounted for: Allan (always a wildcard), Mary, Awohali, Cory

Hopefully I'm wrong enough in my Clear Perspective thread / provided enough targets that the Spies will keep me around this round and not imprison me.
I'm working on getting the trust of the Democrats so I can claim the power if we win. When we win. I think I'm good with Awohali, Mary, maybe Gertrude, maybe Cory. And I'm really good with the 4 original Republicans.
Mary is Team Claude (in favor of voting out Chance) Awohali is Team Chance Cory is Team Claude Allan is wandering around in the woods doing his own thing.
Working on converting Cory: [18:47] spies8nita: But when me, a repubilcan, look over your board for the first time, what i see first? [18:48] spies8nita: Drama between Cory y Claude [18:48] spies8nita: What the other republicans gonna notice first? [18:48] spies8nita: You. Y Claude. [18:48] spies8Cory: What does it matter what they notice? [18:48] spies8nita: Because people vote for people they notice [18:49] spies8Cory: And Claude made a target of himself, then [18:49] spies8nita: Si [18:49] spies8Cory: So then if his goal was to make a target of me using crappy reasons [18:49] spies8nita: BUT [18:49] spies8nita: You forget senor [18:49] spies8Cory: He also made a target of himself. [18:49] spies8nita: He had a role claim [18:49] spies8nita: Anytime he get into trouble, he know he can say "no exile me, I the majority whip" [18:49] spies8Cory: That's true. [18:49] spies8Cory: I hadn't really thought of that. [18:49] spies8nita: That what I'm tryin to say en my post [18:50] spies8Cory: That could explain the whole staking his life ordeal [18:50] spies8nita: Si. [18:51] spies8nita: Exactly. [18:51] spies8nita: I say en my post "Claude claim es okay to exile him if he wrong bout Camilla. Big claim, si? But all the time he know he can bust out his role claim y get out of it. This boastin wasn’t ballsy when you look at it that way."
At the bolded parts, I was like "Ta da!"

The challenge was fun. I was like, GRRRR fired up!
It was hard for me to help with Task #1 (the unicorn) because I was actually in class working with a group on a group project! So frustrating. If had paid attention I bet I could have lead.
Task #2 (Mary had a Little Lamb and Planetcopia) I took over and it was awesome. I was delegating everything, assigning and reassigning as people came and went, and making sure everyone was busy and happy. I got to enter the password first both times. I also got "breath" in part 2 of the unicorn challenge. Sweet. Many points for DC.
People who kicked ass in the challenge: Most everyone, but especially Cinnamyn. I'd want her on my team any day for sure.
Surprisingly there were a lot of people who are great as followers, but not as leaders. Jenny and Cory didn't do a great job leading the unicorn thing but they were terrific in this challenge. Claude didn't do a great job leading Mary had a Little Lamb but was quick to do whatever I asked and he did it well. Awohali admitted he wasn't interested in being a leader, but he followed well.
[01:19] spies8gertrude: I want Chris Wayan to die. [01:20] spies8claude: Who is that [01:20] spies8gertrude: The guy who made all of that. [01:20] spies8Nita: Este hombre, he need to die, si [01:20] spies8gertrude: I emailed him before I found out you guys had found Paramount Peak.
Bwahahahaha.
I found out who the doctor is. Cory role-claimed to me today, in between challenges. Hola Senor Doctor. Except he's no longer a doctor. He says he was allowed 1 save, and now he's a plain old vanilla citizen. I didn't claim to him though. So now I have Allan, Cory, and Jenny totally on my side, plus Hambone and Rondak. Good luck getting a prize to anyone but me.
I love being trusted in this game.

Rats. Bribes are made public. I'm going to have a hard time lying about receiving a bribe.
I still can't believe the Spies actually chose Gabriel, and that Cory correctly anticipated this. Amazing. Good for him.
I know that when I find someone I can trust in Spies I feel really relieved. Partially paranoid, but also like, "Whew, now I have someone I can trust". So I'm going to play that up with Cory as best I can. It will be acting, because, I don't know, there's something about not being obsessed with finding Spies or getting caught lying that's made this game pretty comfortable to me. For instance, I'm advising people without caring about their alignment. I'm removing myself from things on at least 1 level. I still think about the game constantly, but without the furred brow. Getting all that trust round 1 has put me in a position where I can get away with this attitude and still avoid exile, at least for a few rounds.
Avoiding imprisonment, that's another story. Where are you, my Spy friends?

What I'm most worried about now: - Not winning the challenge. I want a prize for my mission - Magalie might vote for me and prevent me from earning my "go 3 consecutive exiles without any votes" mission What I'm going to do about it: - Take charge of the challenges again and do the best I can with leading them to victory. Everyone was calm and did a good job following and I think we can pull it off. In addition to increasing our chances of winning, the other benefit of leading is that if we do win, I can take more credit for it and increase my chances of the group voting for me to get a prize. - About Magalie: She's clearly an emotional player, so for this round alone I have to be nice to her and assuage her insecurities. That means holding off on this post I had written this morning: Magalie: You tellin me xactly what I'm postin: I say Magalie ain't payin attention. You prove that by not knowin who on the team.
I say Magalie lyin. You prove that by lyin bout me lyin.
Maybe I get the part wrong where you tell Jenny, but you tellin Cinnamyn you suspectin Stephanie when you ain't never talked to her. My guess es you never even talked about her with anyone else.
I say Magalie votin people for bad reasons. You prove that with what Cinnamyn say in the public chat last night:
spies8cinnamyn: (11:10:19 PM)who do u think b a spy.? spies8magalie: (11:10:41 PM)Nita spies8cinnamyn: (11:11:05 PM)y.? spies8magalie: (11:12:16 PM)well I have not only been on a team with her for a day and she came up to me and attacked me with stuff about her team [23:00] spies8cinnamyn: datz after suspectin' steph [23:05] spies8cinnamyn: she gave me da transcript of her talkin' wit nita [23:05] spies8cinnamyn: it dont seem lyke nita attacked her at all
Magalie, I no attack you at all. We have a pleasant conversation, even endin wit "nice talkin to you".
You doin to me what you say I'm doin to yoU: "you by tryin to make shit up when you ain't got shit to begin with." If that make you suspicious of me, then by your standards I should be suspicious of you. Well I am. I would also like to get one of my exile missions accomplished. Those are really the hardest of the 3. That means getting everyone to bandwagon on a Citizen or a roleholder, or avoiding a Spy vote. That's tricky because it's two different things: I'm either on the vote or I'm not.

Recapping my goals for this round:
- Receive 0 nomination votes
- Nominate a Citizen with a role and make sure they are exiled
- Nominate a Citizen who will be a popular choice and make sure they are exiled
- Do not nominate a Spy but make sure the rest of the Democrats nominate a Spy. And get this Spy exiled.
- Arrange at tie vote at the nomination or the exile

I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate losing. Hate it. I really hate to lose!
Aaaargh, I was mad and sad about it yesterday. Now I'm annoyed. If my team had that 15 minute advantage, we would have beat the Republicans by 25 minutes. Without a handicap we would have won by 10. Instead, we lost by 5.
Fuck that map. Also FU group members for not asking for map reading instructions earlier. Had I known you were having problems with the instructions, I would have asked!
So I lose out on imprisonment immunity and I lose out on the super ultra mega power and I lose out on the chance to accomplish another mission this round. All because some of my team members (Rondak, Magalie, Hambone, Chance, Allan) suck and some people didn't ask about how to read that fucking map.
AND I don't even know which of my missions I'm going to carry out. My brain feels really dense and I can't see the game clearly at all. I'm not clearly processing information so I have no idea what to do. Maybe I just need to sleep more and let natural processes refresh my brain.
Frustrating.
