After having spent some of my downtime rereading and taking notes, I thought O'd share.
At this point, there are five people I was considering to vote for. I'll go alphabetically.
BRODERICK
This is admittedly a gut feeling, one that I got while reading. Searchinf for evidence didn't bear much fruit. One thing to note about Brod is that he asks lots of questions, and good for him. But they always seem to be more about clarifying other peoples stances than trying to make his own. In fact, the only thing I could find that seemed mostly himself was this one line:
[01:26] spies8broderick: I read that as Margot trying to throw Gertie under the bus in front of her.
CHANCE / CLAUDE
On hold for this exile, at least.
GERTRUDE
Everyone jumped on her for a late switch to Camilla, who flipped Cit. Rather than just use that, I tried to find other points.
1. A neutral point. She seems to be in favor of policy lynches,
[21:52] spies8gertrude: They were also stupid and didn't lynch Andreas when they should've done it out of policy.
2. Doesn't like arguments based on semantics.
3. Her reasons for voting Camilla:
[23:47] spies8gertrude: One, which I didn't agree with, was that she had contradicted herself with a few statements. Secondly, though, was that she was piggybacking on people's arguments, the exact thing I found discomforting beforehand.
Another reason I switched my vote was because, to me, it's useless to vote for someone who has no chance of being Exiled. Why would I waste my vote on Margot if Claude, Chance, or Camilla were clearly the people in danger of being Exiled. I'd rather have my opinion matter than a Spy's, so I picked one of the three. I picked the person who I felt both was scummiest and also least helpful in terms of hunting.
It just seemed to me like she was agreeing with everything Cinnamyn had already stated in an odd, supportive way. I admit, part of it may be OMGUS, since she reiterated what Cinnamyn had said about me, despite (and after) my response and Cin's "i lyk ur responsh" to me. But, throughout the post, she says things like, "*This kinda seemed weird to me too:," and, "I felt that this was also out of place."
4. The humor point (seriously, it's a joke)
spies8gertrude: (9:21:30 PM)With my fellow Spies, admittedly.
5. Had her true identity determined. How you take this point is your own decision, but it was something I at least noted.
JASMINE
This case is really based on the utter lack of anything. Nowhere did I find any real pushes, or even lukewarm suspicions. The best was agreements with other players. Even hunting for quotes from the messageboard--nothing. And thrn there was last night refusal to read Chancw's case on Claude-could be a wording issue, but I didn't really like it.
MAGALIE
Disclaimer-What I've seen of Magalie in the chat rubs me the wroing way. This very likely could be based more emotionally than logically.
She's done better lately, but I could not find her in 3/4 of the logged chats.
She defended Gertrude from attack...sort of.
Whether you think that is spyish or not would depend on your opinion of Gertie.
She's an admitted liar:
I said that she was a cit because I had just said goodbye to my father and was in no condition to give an explanation to anyone for the fact that I had a head ache from last week. So I said she was a cit so that everyone could leave me alone. Thats another one of my bad moves because it just started up a whole new can of worms.
Note, also about Gertie. Somewhat reasonable explanation, but still a lie.
And then this:
[00:48] spies8broderick: Not really.
[00:48] spies8isaac: Whoa, just got cold in here
[00:48] spies8broderick: you just proved that you are insanely childish and have no desire to hunt for spies.
[00:48] spies8magalie: lighten up you fuckin queer
[00:49] spies8broderick: Heh. All you have? Name calling?
[00:49] spies8magalie: we can talk game lets talk
[00:49] spies8magalie: see when you get the floor you dont say shit
[00:50] spies8broderick: I already asked a question.
[00:50] spies8broderick: Do you plan on actually voting for someone you find suspicious, and spy hunting this episode?
[00:50] spies8broderick: Or are you just going to play games?
[00:50] spies8magalie: I will most likely do the spy huntin
[00:51] spies8broderick: Most likely?
[00:51] spies8magalie: broderick are you going to die if you get exiled?
[00:51] spies8magalie: is you life attached to some kind of spies wire
[00:52] spies8broderick: Not that I know of.
[00:52] spies8broderick: Do you have a point?
[00:52] spies8magalie: do you want me to lay down so you can win the last game of spies
[00:52] spies8mary: Magalie, what do you think of Gertrude?
[00:52] spies8broderick: Are you admitting to being a spy Magalie?
[00:53] spies8magalie: no I am not where would you get that
[00:53] spies8broderick: do you want me to lay down so you can win the last game of spies
[00:53] spies8broderick: To win, the spies would need to be eliminated.
[00:54] spies8magalie: yeah so if I get eliminated
[00:54] spies8magalie: then you can find the spies
[00:54] spies8magalie: because im not as dedicated as you are
This just doesn't sit right with me. It makes me uncomfortable, and I think t comes across as spy.
MARGOT
Like Magalie, she's only showed up in 3/4 chats. Worse, there was nothing of substance; even less than Jasmine. And here is every single game-related post she's made on the forum:
Exactly, Jasmine. I was just worried that if I said something, it would be misinterpreted, especially since it was a conversation and topic I wasn't familiar with at all.
I'm voting for Camilla. A lot has been said and some evidence has been given, and I agree with it. She feels more suspicious to me at this point.
To those that are saying I'm "unhelpful", sorry that you feel that way. I know I've been less helpful than others, but I don't feel that warrants me getting Exiled. Getting rid of someone because they don't contribute even if you might feel that they are a citizen is stupid. Go for the one that you think is the spy.
I've said before that my vote for the first Exile was still up in the air, and the reason I changed my vote to Camilla was not only for the argument given, but also for the fact that Claude has contributed a lot more to investigating who the spies are than she has done. That being said, that contribution will clearly be negative if you all are pointing the spy finger at me. Yes, I bandwagoned my vote to Camilla because I never talked with her. I didn't like what she was reported to have said about it being okay to get rid of a citizen because they weren't a contributor, even if that reflected poorly on me and made me a target. That's my explanation for my vote for Camilla, and now that it was revealed that she was a citizen, then that makes me question other people far more.
Gertrude's vote was exactly the same reason that I did. She initially switched her vote and gave this explanation: "I agree with the things that were said about her more than I suspect Margot."
That is pretty much my same exact argument for voting for Camilla, except for whole suspecting Margot part. That seems far more suspicious to me, and yet I'm the one that's is being pegged the most for being a spy? I'm "scummier" than her?
Gertrude is at the top of my list as a suspect. She's far more likely a spy than I am, which is large gap really, since I am not a spy. Claude will also be at the top of my list for trying to be "logical", and yet believing I'm a spy. Is this suspicion logical? Maybe. Is this suspicion emotional? Abso-fucking-lutely.
MY THOUGHTS
To try to determine who to vote for, these are my thoughts. The C's get a pass for their respective reasonsd, but will be watched. I believe Gertrude's reasons. Brody is gut, and Magalie is probably emotion. That leaves Jasmine and Margot. Margot is worried about being "misinterpreted"; she voted Camilla over Claude due to effort, and she's pushing Gertie. Jasmine is still pretty much an enigma.
I think at this point, I will be voting Margot over Jasmine for one primary reason--Jasmine at least seems to have a prsence, small and flufft as it may be. Margot to me is invisible and forgettable, which seems more like a spy trying to sneak by.
At this point, there are five people I was considering to vote for. I'll go alphabetically.
